Happiness, Soft and Simple

In the evening, Dad came home. The moment he opened the door, laughter filled the living room. A little girl was happily playing with her panda plush, its soft body wobbling as she moved around. Mom sat on the sofa nearby, quietly smiling at the scene.
After changing his shoes, Dad walked over and sat down on the floor beside her. The little girl immediately squeezed closer and placed the panda plush between them. Together, Mom and Dad listened to her excited stories about school, occasionally reaching over to smooth her hair.
Outside the window, the sky slowly grew dark. Streetlights cast soft shadows across the floor through the thin curtains. There were no phone notifications, no work stress—just the sound of their daughter laughing and the quiet comfort of the panda plush beside them.
Sometimes, happiness is simpler than we think. It lives in the warm light waiting at home, in the peaceful moments shared together, and in the soft panda plush hugged tightly in a child’s arms.
